YOU: Gone to Winter rally!

Youth Education News

YOU Winter Rally: Our YOU teens and Sponsors are spending the weekend in Glen Rose, Texas for Winter Rally. The theme of the Rally is “Spiritual Superheroes” and will be a transformational time for our teens. Our group will return to the Church this afternoon after bonding with their spiritual peers from other Unity Churches in the Gulf and Red River Communities.

Breakfast Tacos: Due to all of our teens being gone for the Rally, breakfast taco sales are postponed to next Sunday, January 25.

“A Chocolate a Day” Twelve Power Meditations: Here’s an opportunity for you to treat yourself or a loved one to a Valentine’s box of chocolates with a special twist! You’ll be able to experience 12 different meditations (one for each power) written by our Youth of Unity, as you savor the flavor of 12 different exotic chocolate truffles. These handcrafted chocolates are created by the Austin Truffle Company and are organic and gluten free. A box of chocolates costs $30, tax included. All proceeds benefit our Youth of Unity. You can order your chocolates starting Sunday, January 25—the YOU will have a table in the Foyer, or you can order online at unityhills.org. Chocolates can be picked up in the Foyer on Sunday, February 8.

Elementary Angels: Our elementary Sunday School classes are looking for angels (teacher’s assistants) for both Services. Openings include an angel twice a month in the 9:25 first & second grade classroom or an angel twice a month in the 11:25 third-fifth grade class. If you are interested in filling one of these openings, please talk to Linda Hancock in the Youth Education Office, Room 140.

Uniteens 9:25 Class: Due to low numbers, the 9:25 Uniteens class will no longer meet separately in Room 202, effective the first Sunday in January. Starting on January 4, the 9:25 Uniteens will combine with the 9:25 3rd-5th Grade class in Room 201. This 9:25 group will be called “Uni-Tweens & Teens.” If a Uniteen does not wish to attend this combined class, the options are to either move to the 11:25 class, volunteer in a younger age classroom, or attend the adult Service in the Sanctuary with their parents. Please talk to Linda Hancock in Room 140 if your teen would like to volunteer during the 9:25 class time.
