It is essential to have active participation at all levels of the community during a transition process. Our Transitional Minister, Rev. Cynthia Vermillion-Foster, is working closely with the board and staff teams, facilitating community processes, and speaking at Sunday services.
A key component of ensuring engagement with the community is the Transition Team. This team is a group of wise and trusted community members who are known for their listening ears, warm hearts, and spiritual depth. They have been selected by the community to serve in this important role. This team works closely with the Rev. Cynthia, assisting with planning and implementing process, and helping her stay attuned to the pulse of the community. Rev. Cynthia will train the team, familiarizing them with the transitional process, drawing on their wisdom and knowledge of the community. The Transition Team and Rev. Cynthia will work collaboratively together in discerning the best way to continue to move through this transitional period.
