9:25 & 11:25 a.m…Youth Education…Education Wing
This Sunday is Fly Up Sunday, when we take time to acknowledge the spiritual growth of our children who are all “flying up to the next level.” Classroom ceremonies are held to bless and honor those who are flying up to a new classroom, giving everyone an opportunity to say goodbye to each other. Adults in the Sanctuary also bless the children as they join them at the end of the Services. Children will receive a special backpack zipper charm with an affirmation. Open House is held after the Services so that children who are flying up to a new classroom can visit their new room before “Welcome Sunday,” which is the first Sunday in their new rooms.

Recruiting Youth Education Volunteers
It’s that time of year for the Youth & Family Ministry to recruit new volunteers for our Youth Education program for the new school year! All new volunteers start off as angels (teachers’ helpers) and then graduate to teaching if that is their desire. We like to match volunteers with the age group that brings the greatest joy and satisfaction, and together we’ll find a schedule that works for you. Visit the Youth Education Office, Room 140, to pick up a Volunteer Application. Talk to Linda Hancock if you have questions.
Profound Parenting Meet-up
What does it look like to raise our children with the spiritual truths of the Unity movement and A Course in Miracles, paired with the time-proven wisdom of “Love and Logic,” using the three simple steps of the “Language of Listening?” Join Sandy Blackard, award-winning parenting author of Say What You See, and Jennifer Feiereisel, student and teacher of A Course in Miracles, for an inspired and solution-oriented discussion on how to consciously raise your children to be confident, happy and self-motivated. Love offering. Complimentary childcare is available in Room 135.
Sunday, August 19 at 10:45-11:45 a.m. in Room 131
Youth Education Volunteer Training & Dedication Ceremony
This year’s annual Youth Education training will be on “Creating Emotionally Intelligent Classes.” This information is intended for current and new volunteers, and is applicable to every age group. Parents are invited to join us as well! This material will not only improve your relationship with the kids you work with but also your relationship with coworkers, family, friends, loved ones and even yourself! A sweet dedication ceremony will follow the training. Refreshments will be served and childcare will be available if needed. Please RSVP to Linda Hancock and if you will need childcare.

Feminine Hygiene Drive
One of our teens, Jessica Morehead, has been inspired to make a difference in the lives of homeless female teens by launching a feminine hygiene drive at our Church and at her school. Bring your feminine hygiene products to the designated plastic tubs in the Foyer.
