My late husband, David, and I began attending UCOH back when services were first held at the school, then in the strip mall space up the road. We opened the first bookstore and staffed it for many years. Over the years, I served with the Usher Team and the Hospitality Team. I continued to help out however needed as well as participated in staffing special events.
Currently, I volunteer in the front office or wherever else I can to be of service, except the garden… No further comment ~
The thing I enjoy about volunteering at UCOH is that it is very fulfilling. I enjoy giving back and being of service in whatever way I can or am needed. The staff is extremely supportive and encouraging.
I am recently retired for the second time. Most of my employment positions have been in service, working for the state, or federal government. I graduated from the Austin Citizen’s Police Academy in June of 2019 and have enjoyed volunteering with the Austin Police Department. I truly enjoy helping others and making lives better in any way that I am able to.
