Dear Friends:

The word “Advent” is derived from the Latin, adventus, meaning “to come.” In Christianity, Advent means the coming of Christ. From a mystical perspective, we can see it as the Light of Reality that it is inevitably experienced as the darkness of illusion gives way.

This forth Sunday of Advent is about Joy – the joy of remembering Who we really are, and the joy that is ours day to day when we let go of the old and embrace the “new”…which incidentally is also the “true.” Jesus said, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free!” This brand of freedom begets authentic joy. Please join us this special Sunday as we gather in the growing light of the Christ Spirit.

And, if your plans find you in town this Christmas Eve, please attend one of our Christmas Eve Candle Lighting services. It is a gentle and loving way to experience the elegance of Christmas in our spiritual home with friends and family close at hand.

Merry Christmas, Beloved,

Rev. Steve
