Twice a year, Hands on Housing organizes major volunteer repair events. On average, over 200 community volunteers come together to repair 10 homes.
What skills are required? Repairs are typically focused on exterior painting, so the events are inclusive of teams with all skill levels.
Team Leaders? We ask that each team have at least one team leader to act as the liaison between the group and Hands on Housing staff. The team leader(s) will be responsible attending the Team Leader orientation with the Program Coordinator prior to the repair event.
What is provided? Hands on Housing will provide all required materials and lunch during the event. Hands on Housing is available throughout the event for any support you may need. All they ask teams to provide is at least one truck for taking materials from our shed to the home.
