A native of York, PA. I worked as a Wage & Salary Analyst for the Borg Warner Corporation and later as a School Counselor in the city schools. I moved to higher education and served as an administrator in student services, eventually becoming an Assistant Vice President at Tulane University in New Orleans. My educational career led me to serve as Dean of Student Affairs at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. Finally, I worked as Assistant Vice President and Associate Professor of Counselor Education at Penn State University in University Park, PA. I was recognized as human rights “citizen of the year” by the mayor of Phoenix AZ. And served in the leadership councils of Tempe AZ. and Scottsdale AZ. For my work in human services, I received a national recognition award from former President George H. Bush at his residence at Texas A&M University, College Station, TX. I most grateful for my global perspectives on life due to visits across Africa and South America.
