Support the Spirit Group Ministry

Our Spirit Group ministry is thriving and we want you to be a part of it! Spirit Groups foster connection, deepen our spiritual understanding, and support the larger community. We are always looking for new hosts and facilitators who feel the call to connect in a small group environment. We offer training two times per year but are available for informal training for those individuals who have facilitation experience and are ready to go!

At Unity Church of the Hills, we are committed to offering new group study materials three to four times per year and these formal ‘launches’ provide us an opportunity to focus on our Spirit Group Ministry on Sundays and create a formal space for new congregants to join a group. That being said, new groups can be formed at any time. We have a library of materials to choose from or eager hosts/facilitators can come with an idea for group discussion.

The ideal size is between 8-12 people, but we’ve seen successful groups with as few as three individuals.

If you are interested in becoming a host/facilitator, please complete the form below.

Still not sure if being a Host/Facilitator is right for you? Take a look at what a few of our Hosts/Facilitators have to say about the experience and then check in with Spirit:

Spirit Groups are small, facilitator-led groups that meet regularly for meaningful dialogue and mutual support, typically in someone’s home. Often, the home host and facilitator are the same person, but the roles can be split with one person opening their home and another coordinating the group as the facilitator. Training is provided for all home hosts and facilitators. If you are interested in becoming a host or facilitator, fill out the preliminary form below. If you have any questions, include them in the comments. Consider the following before completing the form:

  • You can create your group to serve a particular demographic (i.e., young adults, singles, LGBTQ, men only, women only, co-ed, couples, etc.) or it can be open to all.
  • If you are only interested in opening your home or only interested in facilitating, please find someone to partner with before you submit the form.
