I’ve been a recruiter in the staffing industry for the past 29 years, which has been a good fit, since I am an extroverted people-person who likes being of service to others. At UCOH, I’m on the Board of Trustees and am currently serving on the Minister Magnet Team as liaison with the Board, helping them attract and screen the right and perfect minister(s) to take up the mantle of spiritual leadership of UCOH after Rev. Steve’s retirement. I am also Co-Community Leader of Spirit Groups, along with my wife Mary (who does most the work).
Value Statement: I believe in “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”, not because ‘the Bible tells me so’ but because I know that in ultimate reality, we are all One, and therefore what you do to another, you do to yourself.
Passionate About: helping to create an environmentally sustainable, socially just, and spiritually fulfilling human presence on this planet as an idea whose time has come. (A commitment I made while involved with The Pachamama Alliance.) Ever since I was 18, I’ve wanted to ‘save the world’, but had no idea how. Thanks to Unity/New Thought, I now know that by coming from within to without, I can learn to make a difference in little ways that when combined with others, will raise the consciousness of the world.
Outside of work: Dinner and movies and/or cable TV shows with friends; listening to music, especially jazz; golf; and star gazing.
Favorite Quote: “Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs most are people who have come alive.” -Harold Whitman
