Soup & Sufi: Nurture your body and soul with Soup & Sufi. Purchase tickets for you and your family, or place your “To-Go” orders this Sunday at the YOU table in the Foyer. This major fundraiser for the YOU will be held next Sunday, March 1st, so don’t delay! If you won’t be here to purchase in person, you can also purchase online at our website. Soup & Sufi includes a hearty lunch of various soups, with bread, Caesar salad and dessert. Many thanks to our talented soup chefs Sharon Rogers (Beef Stew), Shawnda Birch (Chicken Tortilla Soup) and Belinda Lightheart (mild Masala Veggie Curry). Lunch will be served in Friendship Hall. After lunch there will be Sufi dancing in the Foyer. Sufi Dancing or Dances of Universal Peace are a part of the timeless tradition of sacred celebration. Music, movement and focusing on the spiritual intention of peace & harmony cross denominational lines and are the thread of compassion that weaves us together. It’s prayer in motion and will feed your soul! These dances are easy to learn and are appropriate for all ages.
Our teens learn so much at Rallies and return home on fire, wanting to share what they learned. This fundraiser raises funds to support our teens to attend the “Big” Rally in June, Summer Legacy. Then, as an expression of gratitude, our teens lead the Sunday Services for YOU Sunday in July. Thank you for supporting our Youth of UCOH!

Family Celebration: Our next Family Celebration is coming up on Sunday March 29 which is also Palm Sunday. We will be celebrating in Sacred Circle in the Pavilion for both the 9:25 and 11:25 Services. We have some special activities planned for this Service! All ages are welcome, however we will provide regular childcare for the infants and toddlers. Preschoolers and older children are invited to participate in these Services with their parents and family members. We look forward to having you join us!

Elementary Angels: Our elementary Sunday School classes are looking for angels (teacher’s assistants) for both Services. Openings include an angel twice a month in the 9:25 first & second grade classroom or an angel twice a month in the 11:25 third-fifth grade class. If you are interested in filling one of these openings, please talk to Linda Hancock in the Youth Education Office, Room 140.
