Dawson MacLeod was born in Santa Monica, CA and moved with his family to Austin when he was 6, where he lived until graduating from high school. Dawson was raised in a fairly sectarian denomination of Christianity, but after he had a personal experience of the Christ Impulse (the reality of which was doubted by the leadership), he began his spiritual quest of seeking in earnest. He began attending Unity in 2018 while he was studying for his undergrad in Oklahoma City. After moving back to Austin in 2019, he has been a pivotal part of many local Christian and theater groups, including Christian Youth Theater Austin, Studio Preparatory (local Christian homeschool co-op), and many more, including the online streaming service at UCOH every Sunday. His vision, passion, and desire to serve have in turn served many organizations and people, and he is excited by the opportunity to serve in his home church’s leadership more closely.

Heidi Gudelman – I have attended Unity churches here in central Texas for many years. The beautiful land, church, music and welcoming messages touched me then and still do today. I became a member in 2017 and have participated in numerous classes, workshops, music performances, Hands on Housing and IACT events since then.  I became a Prayer Chaplain in 2019 and continue serving as a Prayer Chaplain today.  I served on the Transition Team and participated in various focus groups to move our congregation forward over the recent years.

My background includes working as a Program Specialist in Girl Scouting and as an Educator in several districts.  I have been a High School and Elementary Teacher, Counselor and Principal.  I currently work with Alternative Certification Programs mentoring first-year Teachers. As an Administrator, I have experience opening three elementary schools which required collaboration, teamwork, attention to details and working with a variety of individuals. Creating campus learning communities of excellence, compassion, and character were always at the forefront of our actions.

UCOH is a community of Spirit Centered and Spirit Led people.  We have a positive future ahead of us because of the beautiful and important work that others have done before us and the work we are continuing to do every day. I offer my heart, my time and abilities to serve our congregation.  I will continue to put God first, be Spirit Led, live the Unity Principles, celebrate our diversity, and empower each other to transform our lives.
