Prayer is the foundation upon which Unity is based and is at the very heart of our ministry. Affirmative prayer is the highest form of creative thought. It includes the release of counterproductive, negative thoughts as well as holding in mind statements of spiritual truth.

Prayer is like talking to God and we do this either out loud or silently. The method is not as critical as the feeling we hold in our hearts when we form the words.  We sense and claim the presence of God in the midst of any and all situations, because of our Oneness in Spirit.

Having a daily spiritual practice that includes prayer heightens our awareness and can transform our lives.

[wptab name=’Meditation’]

Through meditation we experience the presence of God because we are listening to hear the still small voice that comes from deep within us and brings us guidance. It is always there to help us, and often it is more like a feeling or knowing than a voice we hear. Meditation is finding those spaces between our thoughts that hold such promise for insights. Meditation is getting on God’s wavelength. It’s like listening to the radio, and when we become still, we can tune into our guidance.

Having a daily meditation time-even a short amount of time-is life-changing!

[wptab name=’Chaplain Program’]

Since 2001, our ministry has maintained a vibrant Prayer Chaplain program.
This is the essence of what it means to be a prayer chaplain. Through their training, prayer chaplains:

  •     Deepen their own spirituality and connection with God
  •     Experience personal and spiritual transformation
  •     Learn how to stand in prayerful support of our spiritual family

These wonderful volunteers serve for at least 12 months. Information meetings are held each year in March.

Our prayer chaplains are available each Sunday for prayer and each month they make well-being calls to our active members who choose to receive a call.

[wptab name=’Prayer Team’]

There is a wonderful, behind the scenes, group of members, along with our ministers, that pray for each prayer intention that is submitted. They receive an email with the first names of those requesting prayer and pray for that person for one week.
