Opportunities to Connect at Unity Church of the Hills

Connection IconBeyond the Sunday Messages and uplifting music, building connections is a cornerstone of Unity Church of the Hills. As spiritual beings, centered in oneness, we are wired for connection. And fostering meaningful connections support us on our spiritual walk.

Connection is so important that we have made it one of four areas in our My Passport Home program, a program unique to Unity Church of the Hills. The My Passport Home program provides a fun structure for focusing intentionally on your spiritual growth. Learn more here.

There are many opportunities to connect at UCOH, from our Spirit Group Ministry to Men’s Fellowship, from Entrepreneurs to Young at Heart. Take a look. Get involved. Have fun.

Spirit Groups

Spirit Groups Logo

Spirit Groups are small, facilitator-led groups that meet on a regular basis for meaningful dialogue and mutual support. They provide an opportunity for deep connection, support in applying Spiritual Principles and a way for you to contribute to the lives of others through sacred sharing.

Spirit Groups can exist around a particular demographic (i.e., young adults, singles, retired congregants, LGBTQ, men only, women only, co-ed, couples, etc.), or be open to all congregants. You can even search for groups by zip code to find the groups near you!

It is our intention that, as our Small Group Ministry grows, there will always be a group available for you to join. Get started today! All of our Spirit Groups can be found in our InFellowship portal.

  1. At the top of the page, click here to jump into “InFellowship”.
  2. Once there, click on ‘Find a Group’ at the very top of the page just above our logo. You do not need to sign in to find a group.
  3. Search for a group that fits your interest and schedule.
  4. Once you find the group, complete and submit the Interested in the Group? form and you will be contacted by the Host.
  5. Don’t see a group that’s right for you? Consider starting one!

Caregivers’ Circle of Caring

The Caregivers’ Circle of Caring provides opportunities to experience methods of self-care, others sharing helpful information, and a positive circle of friendship. If you are looking for answers in your role as a hands-on or long-distance caregiver, please join us. Also, this group is open to anyone who serves as a professional caregiver.

This resource-sharing group, which provides a nurturing and positive circle of friendship, meets regularly on the third Saturday of the month at 5:00 p.m. The next meeting is November 12, 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.  Enjoy Penny Seay’s presentation, Jin Shin Jyutsu® – an art of harmonizing the life energy in the body. Our bodies contain many pathways that feed life into cells. When one or more of these are blocked, we may experience discomfort or pain. Learn simple hands-on techniques for self-care to bring greater balance of life energy flowing in the body. Penny, Lead Prayer Chaplain and minister-candidate, has studied this healing modality for several years.

Light snacks are made available as early as 4:30 p.m., and activities can be planned for any care-receiving adults accompanying their caregivers; please RSVP by November 9 by calling Anneliese Rosea at 512-335-4449 x 113. For more information or to sign up as a presenter, please contact Anneliese Rosea at AnnelieseRosea@unityhills.org.

Typically Meets 3rd Saturdays of the Month, however due to Mike Dooley event, November date has changed:

November 12 — 4:30 p.m. (Light Reception), 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. — Love Offering

Rainbow Friends

Unity Church of the Hills is an open and affirming community that knows every individual’s unconditional sacred worth.

The Rainbow Friends celebrates the unique spiritual experience of the gay, lesbian, bisexual,  transgender and questioning individuals. We provide support, fellowship, and service to anyone who seeks a spiritual community of love and acceptance.

The Rainbow Friends provides a support point for those LGBTQ who have not been appreciated and welcomed in some congregations. The LGBTQ of Unity Church of the Hills enjoy a positive, supportive environment so we can focus on reaching our full potential, and creating a way of life that leads to health, prosperity, happiness and peace of mind. Members of the Rainbow Friends serve as Licensed Unity Teachers, prayer chaplains, board members, ushers, and are on the music, hospitality, video, and many other ministry teams at our church. Around UCOH, look for our rainbow ribbons on our name tags!

Together, we explore and uplift each other to deepen our spiritual connection. We look for opportunities to provide service within our church and our extended church community. Whether you are LGBTQ or not, a member of our church or not, everyone is invited to participate in any of our organized activities.
