Nancy Nordyke, Licensed Professional Counselor

This is a quiet, peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Call, text, or email for an appointment.

I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for over 20 years, and prefer the term “therapist” because it means “healer”. I am a “client-centered” therapist, meaning you will be “center-stage” and it’s my job to learn about you and support you in your efforts toward your goals. I believe that our highest and best self within has “answers”.  It’s my job to help you listen to your “inner guide”. Whether you are going through some tough transitions, dealing stress and anxiety, or feeling hopeless with no solid ground, be assured that you CAN do it! You can make it through….We will work for a balance of body, mind, spirit, and emotions! I will be there to facilitate the growth of your happiness!

My expertise is with: life changes, anxiety, depression, couples issues, gender issues, autism spectrum issues, and parenting. I am happily transplanted to Texas for 2 years, now. I practiced in New Mexico for 20 years. Prior to having my private practice there, I worked for the University of New Mexico /Psychiatric Center, for Isleta Pueblo as their Child and Adolescent Therapist, for Almas de Amistad (a therapeutic center for women), for New Mexico State University as a Family Wellness Counselor, and for various children’s facilities. I have set up an Art Therapy program in Humboldt County, California, and use art therapy when needed. I can teach EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) to address issues such as phobias, anxiety, pain, trauma, and more. My primary approach is Cognitive-Behavioral, and I utilize other techniques as indicated, if you are agreeable to them!

I accept most insurance, except Medicare. Looking forward to meeting with you soon!
